Xiaofei Chen is a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Center for Labor and a Just Economy at Harvard Law School and research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). She has been a visiting scholar since 2018. Xiaofei obtained her Ph.D. from Renmin University of China in 2020. Her research interests include Labor Economics, the Gig Economy, and Behavioral Economics. Xiaofei has studied the wage effect and non-wage effect of collective negotiation in China. She has also studied the government regulation effect of the ride-hailing industry in China. Xiaofei currently focuses on exploring the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on the labor market and human behavior based on comparisons of experience across different countries. She previously obtained a BSc in Finance and an MPhil in Economics.
