Sharon Block joined the conversation at the “Toolkit: An Organizer’s Guide to Executive Action” briefing, hosted by The Center for American Progress on February 7. Along with Patrick Gaspard, Ai-jen Poo, and Mary Beth Maxwell, participants talked about key lessons learned from the Obama administration to help advocates and organizers understand the policy-making process and advance change. Some highlights included critical issues on immigrant worker rights and a discussion on how to implement policy, not just get it passed.
The Toolkit’s mission is to demystify and democratize the policy-making process, by sharing lessons learned during the Obama administration. For more information on the Toolkit, you can visit Workshop’s website here.
