Research Associate
Robotics and Labor Costs in China

Yingdong Zhou participated as a researcher on three key projects at Harvard University and the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) from September 2017 to December 2018 — and then beyond this initiation period. In the China air filtration project, she directed a multinational research team to collect and clean up the NASA air quality data, while building the China air quality database, which includes city, county and township level PM2.5 and SO2 data. Participating in the Science & Engineering Workforce Project (SEWP), she built the China academic citation database. For the research project on robotics in China, she established an integrated database to measure labor costs and the robot investment of Chinese manufacturing industries. She has helped to maintain relationships with top universities and research institutions in China.
