Research on High-skilled Labor Migration and Domestic Labor Markets

Xiupeng Wang’s primary research interest covers labor economics and economics of information. His research also extends to industrial organization. His current research studies how Information Technology affects the organizational structures, firm sizes, and market concentration. Through massive online experiments, Dr. Wang is developing a new measure of household non-market production. He is also excited about using the matched employer-employee data from the U.S. Census Research Data Center to study how high-skilled immigration affect the domestic labor market. Dr. Wang received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Connecticut and did postdoc research at MIT and Stanford University.
