Bill Cole

Senior Research Associate

Bill Cole has been working with labor unions for almost four decades. His practice focuses on collective bargaining and organizational development. He has represented unions in the public and private sectors with an emphasis on police, firefighters, airline pilots, steelworkers, hospitality workers and the broader public service. He is the primary author of The Art of Collective Bargaining (Thomson Reuters), a popular text used in many Canadian universities.

Following his interests in unions as organizations, Bill is also a doctoral student at the University of Western Ontario where his research examines the dynamics of the leader-follower relationship between unions and their members. He is a frequent speaker to audiences across North American on this and collective bargaining.
