Ava Liu is the Academic Fellow In Law, Technology and Labor, hosted by the Center for Labor and A Just Economy at Harvard Law School and affiliate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society and the Program on Law and Political Economy at Harvard Law School. She is currently working on questions of labor automation in the age of artificial intelligence.

Her research explores how legal institutions shape and respond to technological development and industrial relations in domestic and international contexts.  Before returning to Harvard Law School, she lived and practiced law in Asia for three years and was a research associate at Oxford University’s China, Law and Development Project.
