A Year in Review 2025

12/23/2025

The CLJE team is pleased to share our 2025 Year in Review Report, a comprehensive look back at the research, tools, and conversations we created this year. From publishing reports on state and local policy to facilitating working groups on climate protections for workers to hosting talks with former senators, Nobel Prize laureates, and ambassadors, we’ve had a productive 2025.

This year, we focused on three areas that we felt needed urgent attention:

1) what do our current challenges mean for the legal protections for collective bargaining and concerted action;

2) how are workers faring with the acceleration of AI adoption in our society, including our workplaces; and

3) what are the best ways to protect workers from the intensifying impact of the global climate crisis.

We’re proud to serve as a hub for collaborative research, policy, and strategy to empower working people, and look forward to continuing to bring advocates, lawyers, policymakers, communicators, and academics together to develop innovative strategies to advance a more equitable economy and democracy in the new year. Here’s to 2026.
